The Muslimah Bikini... Would YOU Wear One???

Okay, we all love the beach and the sun and the water... But how can we go about doing this while still being modest? Very simple... the Bodykini! This swimsuit is a two-piece with long sleeves with attached hood/hijab and long pants with a small pocket. It is made with polyester /spandex mix. It offers protection from UV rays, has low water absorbency, quick drying, resistant to sea salt, and ensures maximum comfort thanks to “four-way” stretch technology.

Question is, would you guys wear one??? Do you think it is cute or ugly? Is it modest enough,or would you want more coverage? Less coverage? Let us know!

These swimsuits can be found at : http://bodykini.com/ for US $115.06 or EU €89.00.

I know that swimsuit is modest and practical but I just cant like it. ( I think its unattractive. Maybe as I increase my deen insha'allah it will become more attractive.

  2. No, can't say I'd wear one. for one, I don't think it is proper covering for a muslimah (but to each their own), two, if i'm just around sisters, that suit is just plain ugly, I would much rather wear a t-shirt and pants. But I can see how other sisters who wear similar clothing would find it an alternative to swimsuits and bikinis.

  3. MashAllah, I think its a good idea. I might consider wearing one If I got it for free lol. Like Teacher said, I much rather wear a t-shirt and pants. I wouldn't be able to wear the whole hood thing.

  4. I got one when I first made shahada from a friend. Its really convienient but I just opt out of the alien head look with an al-amirah hijab it looks similar to the first picture you have posted but mine is with black body suit, pants, with a brown and dark green floral patterned over dress that comes to the knees.

  5. I see these burqinis and muslim swimwear popping up everywhere..and I am a fashion designer, and I would NEVER wear one of those..sorry..its too much trouble..and I would rather be comfortable in something beautiful and cute, when around my sisters only...maybe at private pool party, or at Muslima Beach Day in Dubai or Malaysia..Plus..it's not swim friendly...and its in Black, its HOT outside..We have to do better than this..We could add ruffles, trim, pleats, anything!...but that..

  7. Its ok, but would be better if the upper garment covers the thighs loosely, so as to camoufladge the shape of body.
